Horse Camp XIV (2019)

lt is hard to believe that thirteen  horse camps have come and gone.  Each year has seen  improvement.  With the addition of our horsedrawn carriage, Horsecamp XIV promises to be another great summer horsecamp!

Whispering Oak Stables
Lessons Debra Hardman is a patient, engaging, fun loving instructor.  You enjoy your time on horseback.
Students will learn to ride and care for a horse while having fun with kids their age. Students learn safe and sound horsemanship techniques as well as horse care, grooming, tacking up, first aid, nutrition and anatomy. Students also learn that barn chores are an important part of caring for a horse, we will clean paddocks, care for tack, & clean brushes and buckets. These important skills become internalized as students enjoy games on horseback coupled with formal riding lessons and working with their peers. NEW THIS YEAR! We now have barnyard animals... Chickens, Goats, Rabbits, a Lamb, a Pig. Participants will now bond with barnyard animals too! Session 1 - 5 Day Camp, July 8th - 12th, 2019 (951) 657-3339 Reserve your spot! Monday - Friday: 8:00 am To 12:00 a.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon includes Games on horseback, Picnic for family members, and Awards Camp Cost: $350.00 DEPOSIT $50.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold the campers spot for session 1 & 2.  Balance is due on the first day of camp. Class enrollment is limited, so sign up early! Lunch is NOT included (exept for Friday), so bring water and a snack. Ages: 6-16 years old CAMPERS SHOULD WEAR Campers should wear long pants, light weight t-shirt and boots (no tennis shoes).  We provide riding helmets, but encourage each student to bring their own. CAMPERS SHOULD BRING Sunscreen Hat Carrots (we have a scavenger hunt for the horses upon the completion of each camp day) Snacks Bottle of water (best if frozen) label camper’s items Parents, come see what your children have learned We will be having games on horse back on Friday and encourage parents to be in attendance. (Please check schedule during camp). Following the games awards will be presented. Please plan to attend. A picnic (hotdog, chips, potato salad, and soda) is provided for participants and their families at the awards presentation. *Bring chairs to sit on!
